what we do - a video

the network for social and educational equity explained

“NSEE as we call it, stands for the Network for Social and Educational Equity, and I guess it’s partly a recognition that we need to do something about the equity gap in terms of attainment and achievement amongst our pupils and young people. One of the key ideas we have is that data is important to recognise and learn from ‘What is important for this school or this community?’.

“We work with practitioners sharing the knowledge that we may have picked up from our research over the years, and at the same time directly learning from them through the networking. Through encouraging practitioners to work together collaboratively, they draw on each other’s experience and confidence, and in much of the development work that we’ve fostered, often the answer to the problem is in the room.”
